Using Call Forwarding

Fixed Call Forwarding

Your calls are forwarded to one pre-selected number.

To Activate:

  1. Lift receiver and listen for dial tone.
  2. Press 79.
  3. When you hear the interrupted dial tone. Call Forwarding is in effect.

To Deactivate:

  1. Lift receiver and listen for dial tone.
  2. Press 73.
  3. When you hear the interrupted dial tone. Call Forwarding is deactivated.

Variable Call Forwarding

Allows you to forward calls to the selected telephone number you enter.

To Activate:

  1. Lift receiver and listen for dial tone.
  2. Press 72.
  3. Wait for dial tone.
  4. After you hear dial tone, dial the number that you wish your calls to be forwarded to. Once completed a confirmation tone will be heard indicating completion of the transfer.

To Deactivate:

  1. Lift receiver and listen for dial tone. - This must be done from your home phone.
  2. Press 73.
  3. Wait 5 seconds.
  4. Interrupted dial tone will tell you when Call Forwarding is deactivated.

Remote Call Forwarding Fixed

Your calls are forwarded to one pre-selected number.

  1. Lift receiver and listen for dial tone.
  2. Dial 696-4499 for Adams prefixes 289, 327, 338, 392, 458, 667 and 696 or dial 936-4499 for Adams prefixes 455, 647, 936, 938, 964 and 985. You will hear a voice prompt asking for your base directory number.
  3. Dial the 7-digit directory number you wish to forward your calls from. If this number is valid and has Remote Call Forwarding assigned to it, a voice prompt will ask for your security code number.
  4. Enter your four-digit security access code.
  5. After approximately 5 seconds, a beeping confirmation tone will be heard, immediately followed by normal dial tone.
  6. Press 79.
  7. When you hear the interrupted dial tone. Call Forwarding is in effect.
  8. To deactivate, press 73 from your telephone. When you hear the interrupted dial tone, Call Forwarding is deactivated.

Remote Call Forwarding Variable

Allows you to enter the telephone number you wish to forward your calls to.

  1. Lift receiver and listen for dial tone.
  2. Dial 696-4499 for Adams prefixes 289, 327, 338, 392, 458, 667 and 696 or dial 936-4499 for Adams prefixes 455, 647, 936, 964 and 985. You will hear a voice prompt asking for your base directory number.
  3. Enter your four-digit security access code.
  4. After approximately 5 seconds, a beeping confirmation tone will be heard, immediately followed by normal dial tone.

To Activate:

  1. Press 72.
  2. Wait for dial tone.
  3. After you hear dial tone, dial the directory number that you wish your calls to be forwarded to. Always add a '1' and the area code to toll calls. On completion of this, a beeping confirmation tone will be heard indicating completion of the transfer.

To Deactivate:

  1. Press 73.
  2. Wait 5 seconds.
  3. A beeping confirmation tone will tell you when Call Forwarding is deactivated.

Changing Your Security Access Code (variable and fixed)

  1. Lift receiver and listen for dial tone.
  2. Press *68. A beeping confirmation tone will be heard, immediately followed by normal dial tone.
  3. Enter your new four-digit security access code.
  4. A beeping confirmation tone will be heard to inform you that the new code will now be used.
