JUST WHO IS JACK BALL?
The answer you seek may well be inside.  Come and look.

Yes, many of us have asked that question. I will take a moment of my valuable time to tender an answer.

Jack first came to national renown after his exploits as a fighting Marine in the First World War.

Returning to the good ol' U. S. of A. and a ticker-tape parade, he was the toast of a grateful nation. He quickly became the idol of every man, woman and child in America --Jack Ball, Devil Dog of the Argonne became household words. Red-blooded American boys revered The Devil Dog and made every effort to emulate his deeds. But alas, fame brought no bread and hunger took its toll.  Jack needed a job. Fortune smiled in the guise of the United States Post Office, and like a mange-infested cur, he was taken in by a generous and benevolent employer. Jack had found a "home".

With the passing of time, however, his fame receded like the tides of time and he lapsed into despair until his feats of derring-do became known to a demented citizen (we'll just call this person, "Beaver").  Soon, once again Jack's adventures became the focus of National attention and Jack, as before, became a name known across the Seven Seas. Yes, Jack had become a cartoon character.

Who among us could ever forget the stirring tales of trench warfare, rats and hunger in war-tom France? These were detailed in:
JACK BALL, DEVIL DOG OF THE ARGONNE
(premiere Issue exhibited below)

This first attempt at recording Jack's heroics brought a King's ransom in wealth to Mr. "Beaver." (footnote.  Mr. "Beaver" soon squandered his ill-gotten gains on "brown liquor", i. e. whiskey. )  This quickly spurred him on to chronicle another Jack Ball story, entitled: The Adventures of Jungle Jack. This rip-roaring adventure takes place in darkest Africa where Jack leads an expedition to find unfathomable treasure.

THE ADVENTURES OF JUNGLE JACK
Other tales quickly followed --tomes of high adventure that inspired men to higher achievement and set the pulse of young women racing with wanton desire, titles such as: Yukon Jack; Jumblaya Jack, Sweetheart of the Bayou; Jail Bait Jack (not for the faint of heart); and that two-fisted avenger, Jakarta Jack, who
single handedly put paid to the opium rings of central Indonesia.
JAKARTA JACK
Again Mr. "Beaver" acquired vast sums of money (again, see footnote on page three).  But the legend lives on, if not in flesh and blood, then surely in ink on paper. Jack is our hero. Do not forsake him.

Who can say when the glory will fade?

Buy every issue. Buy two --one to read over and over, and one to treasure as a keepsake, an heirloom for your beneficiaries. Buy many, as I need the money (again, see footnote on page three).

Your humble servant,
Mr. "Beaver"
