long, and scalelike and opposite, overlapping; the later are those of the
adult plant, 2) cone BARK: reddish-brown, dry, shreddy, not ridged FLOWER: fruits more less globular, hard, whitish-
to blackish-green berries about ¼” in diameter, 1-2 seeds GROWTH: Usually size, but can reach extreme
heights of 100’, dense crown, diameter 1’ – 2’ DISTRIBUTION: fairly extensive area in North
