COMMON NAME(S): Norway Spruce 

LEAF: Needles dark green, mostly 1.2” to 1” long. 

BARK: Reddish , flakes off in scales. 

FLOWER: Separate male and female flowers. Cones 4” to 6” long, falling soon after maturing, scales stiff. 

GROWTH: Height 60’ to 90’, diameter 1’ to 3’. 

DISTRIBUTION: Usually found between 6000’ to 10,000’) in the Rocky Mountains and in the southwestern U.S.
