smooth and dark green on the upper side. BARK: Blackish. FLOWER: Distinctive red-purple flowers which appear before the leaves,
from March through May. GROWTH: Height 40’ – 50’. Diameter 10” – 12”. DISTRIBUTION: Native to Mediterranean area,
but found throughout the eastern – mideastern U.S. LOCATION: Chapel Valley Subdivision, Quincy, IL |
